Welcome to the EATCS Japan Chapter!

For providing a forum to members of EATCS living in Japan, the EATCS Japan Chapter has been establised in 2002. The EATCS Japan Chapter also aims to promote a good relationship between Japanese and European TCS researchers.

  1. The 22nd EATCS/LA Workshop on TCS was held on February 19 - 21, 2024. Mr. Nobutaka Shimizu (Tokyo Institute of Technology) was selected for the 22nd LA/EATCS-Japan Presentation Award. Mr. Takumi Shiota (Kyushu Institute of Technology) was selected for the 13th LA/EATCS-Japan Student Presentation Award. Congraturations!

  1. New stiring committee has started from May 2005. (This committee was proposed at the business meeting held during the 3rd EATCS/LA Workshop on TCS and approaved on the mailing list.)
  2. The 5th EATCS/LA Workshop on TCS was held (program in pdf), and Mr. Keita Xagawa (Tokyo Inst. of Tech.) was selected for the 5th EATCS/LA Presentation Award. The award was given to him at the Summer LA Symposium held on July 2007 (photo). Congraturations!
  3. The 6th EATCS/LA Workshop on TCS was held (program in pdf), and Mr. Chuzo Iwamoto (Hiroshima Univ.) was selected for the 6th EATCS/LA Presentation Award. The award will be given to him at the Summer LA Symposium held on July 2008. Congraturations!
  4. The 7th EATCS/LA Workshop on TCS was held on February 2 - 4, 2009, and Mr. Ryuhei Uehara (Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST)) was selected for the 7th EATCS/LA Presentation Award. Congraturations!
  5. The 8th EATCS/LA Workshop on TCS was held on February 1 - 3, 2010, and Mr. Yoshio Okamoto (Tokyo Institute of Technology) was selected for the 8th EATCS/LA Presentation Award. Congraturations!
  6. The 9th EATCS/LA Workshop on TCS was held on February 1 - 3, 2011, and Mr. Takashi Horiyama (Saitama University) was selected for the 9th EATCS/LA Presentation Award. Congraturations!
  7. The 10th EATCS/LA Workshop on TCS was held on January 30 - February 1, 2012. Mr. Akio Fujiyoshi (Ibaraki University) was selected for the 10th EATCS/LA Presentation Award. Mr. Tamotsu Kobayashi (Saitama University) was selected for the 1st EATCS/LA Student Presentation Award. Congraturations!

Mr. Yuto Nakashima (Kyushu University) was selected for the 4th EATCS/LA Student Presentation Award. Congraturations!
  12. The 14th EATCS/LA Workshop on TCS was held on January 26 - January 28, 2016. Ms. Yukiko Yamauchi (Kyushu University) was selected for the 14th EATCS/LA Presentation Award.
