Objectives

The aim of this symposium is to provide a forum for researchers of Hungary and Japan working in discrete mathematics, to promote the exchange of recent results, to foster new collaborations among researchers.

Symposium Site and Access Information

The symposium will be held at Sakura Hall of Tohoku University. ( Photo, Photo, Map 1, Map 2, )
Sakura Hall is located in Katahira Campus of Tohoku University, which is in the walking distance from the city center and within 20-minute walk from Sendai Station.

The banquet will be held on April 4th at the restaurant "Steakery 30" (web page 1 web page 2 (in Japanese)),
which is located at the top of a tall building near from Katahira Campus.

Call for Papers (Submission is closed)

We call for papers for contributed talks. Authors are invited to submit extended abstracts of their papers via e-mail to the address

containing the LaTeX file (A4, 5-10 pages) in the format as described in the sample LaTeX file available from

http://www.dais.is.tohoku.ac.jp/~hj07/hj2007.tex

Authors are strongly encouraged to submit their extended abstract electronically. If for some reason an electronic submission cannot be made, please send two full hard-copies to the following address:

Deadline of the submission is January 31, 2007.
The authors will receive notification by February 28, 2007.

The submitted extended abstracts are also used for the proceedings volume that will be distributed to the symposium participants. The authors are requested to prepare the extended abstracts carefully, because there is no chance of revision.

We expect that most participants will submit full version of their papers to some journals, independently of this symposium.
